Black History Month 2016 - appeal
This year's Black History Month - starting Saturday, 1 October - will showcase a number of exciting events both throughout the UK.
The Met’s Strategic Diversity and Inclusion team, together with the Black Police Association and YOUMANITY, will be producing a film short (two minutes) celebrating interracial marriages.
Entitled “for richer, for poorer”, it will highlight those difficulties couples from different racial backgrounds may have had to face. Fully narrated by someone who has experienced such challenges, it will demonstrate how, in the end, regardless of racial extractions, love conquers all.
This project is under th epatronage of the European Commission.
