2015 Photography Award: Freedom to Love

Entitled Freedom to Love, the 2015 photography edition celebrated love in all shapes and forms.
“No one should be afraid to walk down the street holding hands with the person they love” (Barack Obama 2012)
The 2015 overll winner was Liza Van Der Stock - Ghent - Belgium
The work of Van Der Stock focused on the gay community of Zanzibar, a mostly Muslim island where it is impossible to openly express one’s true identity.
Since Freedom to Love , Liza Van Der Stock’s work was shortlisted for the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards.
