Angelo Iudice granted Cavaliere dell'Ordine della Stella d'Italia
Angelo Iudice, Chair of Youmanity, has been awarded one of Italy’s highest honours: he is now a Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy (Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia). Angelo was presented with the honour on 31st May by the Italian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Pasquale Terracciano.
The order was bestowed upon Angelo Iudice by a decree from the President of Italy, Giorgio Napolitano, in recognition of his philanthropic work:
"As Chair of Accademia Apulia, Dr Iudice devised and delivered numerous projects promoting the importance of cultural diversity and social inclusion on the world stage. A prestigeous Photography Award organised by him every year addresses such issues - cultural heritage, the promotion of tolerance and respect for racial diversity always at the forefront ," is an extract of the motivation read out by Consul General Mazzanti to guests present at the ceremony.
And on 4th July Angelo Iudice was honoured by his native Puglian town, City of Conversano. Mayor Giuseppe Lovascio delivered a speech which described Iudice's professional life's corner stones. Many personal friends attended the reception - Marco Montrone delivered a most touching tribute.
"I am blessed to know so many wonderful and generous friends. My only desire right now is to have more time at hand in order to devise more cultural projects to underline the importance of social inclusion" said Angelo Iudice to all present.
