Elise Jacob wins imAge photography contest
With 1,207 entries form 32 different countries, imAge photography competition has been a huge success. A diverse range of entries explored aging and the active contribution older people make to contemporary society.
The winner of imAge award 2016 is New York-based photographer Elise Jacob.
Speaking for the Jury, Dr Michael Pritchard, Director-General of The Royal Photographic Society commented “The overall winner Fashionistas by Elise Jacob looked at older people and fashion – a subject usually associated with the young."
YOUMANITY is a non-profit organisation based in London, promoting the importance of cultural diversity and social inclusion. The organisation’s commitment to developing an international cultural dialogue is reflected in the annual Photographic Award which aims to raise awareness on current socio-economic themes.
