Our films on tour
Over the past few years youmanity has produced several eduucation short films focusing on pressing social issues. Sexual identity, migration, human trafficking and racial hatred have been explored by opening a window in real peoples' life stories.
For Black History Month, Youmanity has produced two films - part of the Stories of Friendship film collection. All our films are produced to help educate our young (and old) followers on what can be contentious topics and to help dispel negative stereotypes.
Black History Month celebrates the lives and amazing contributions of the Afro-Caribbean community around the world. The depth and educational value of the material researched by Youmanity has been recognised by the European Commission who bestowed their patronage upon on our films.
On 16th October The Tavistock Clinic and the Portman Clinic will showcase our For Richer for Poorer film to their students.
"Your film is perfect for the launch of our Race Strategy: “Any efforts to champion diversity should be continued”, said Jenny Keeza, Senior Communications Officer, NHS Trust.
