Thank You Will
Youmanity wishes to convey their gratitude to Will Schofield for helping to raise awareness of Neurodiversity by running a 5 KM BACKWARDS marathon on 27th October 2018.
Will was diagnosed with autism at the age of 16. Will, who has a full time job in London, is also epyleptic, daltonic and dyspraxic.
"I feel that society should be more considerate towards disability - especially towards non-visible conditions. I hope that my marathon challenge may help in this direction. It is important that we talk more openly about what could be perceived as 'awkward' disabilities. I believe that the happier we become within ourselves, the more productive we become."
To help raise awareness of such important issues, Will is going to run an excruciating 5KM backwards marathon! We are told that Will has been training for the past 12 months and is now looking forward to the challenge!
The run will take place at Crystal Palace Park from 11:00 on the 27th October 2018.
You are all invited to cheer Will during the challenge. Any pledges in support of the marathon will the donated to the This-Ability awareness campaign currently being delivered by Youmanity. Proceeds will help stage a sensitive photography exhibition at London City Hall 3-14 Dec. Donations can be made directly by clicking HERE
