The Genocide of the Rohingya people
During the past several years, celebrated photographer David Verberckt has been documenting the plight of the Rohingya Muslim ethnic minority.
David has followed their calamitous everyday life in Myanmar, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the South-East Asia region. His photographs clearly points to human rights violations.
Rohingya people have been persecuted for yeas but right now such crisis has intensified. In Myanmar, Burma, Rohingya’s homes ahve being burned to the ground and many people, including children, have been killed by a Burmese Buddhist majority.
Finally, the world’s mainstream media is talking about this unacceptable. Crimes Against Humanity are happening right now - at the same time you reading this.
This is a story of the stateless and forgotten Rohingya people.
