Gender identity is about how you, and only you, experience your own gender. How you your identity is your business. No one else’s. Youmanity produced a number of educational cartoons to help people understand how, for example, Gender Identity is different to sexuality.

The concept of gender identity goes back centuries. Colonisation distroyed ancient cultures' beliefs around gender. A male/female concept was forced by missionaries as new land was conquered.
