On Women’s International Day, Youmanity commemorates and celebrates the life of extraordinary women!
One such extraordinary person is Peggy Maskrey MBE who dedicated her life helping people in need.
For the last 83 years Peggy, who is 100 years old, has been handing out food and clothes at Charles Thompson's Mission, Birkenhead.
"When I was 16 I volunteered and I've been a volunteer ever since," she said upon receiving her MBE from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on 8th March 2018.
"I do two days a week, Wednesday and Friday," said Peggy with a beautiful smile.
