Pupuils' pride celebrates cultural diversity
29 May 2014
Middleton Primary School, in Wollaton, Nottingham, has children from 44 different countries, speaking 22 languages.
Many children took part in a simple but symbolic parade wearing traditional costumes reflecting their cultural background.
After the parade, the children together with their families got together to share some delicious food they all cooked to represent their country of origin.
The parade was the cherry on the cake to a series of activities marking Cultural Diversity Day - it included a visiting artist and a traditional Punjabi dance workshop.
